Hanuman Finds Sita
Synopsis

In this chapter, the magic monkey Hanuman finds the abducted Sita languishing in Lanka, prisoner of the besotted king Ravana, where she is tormented by Demons yet remains chaste and pure. Hanuman hears her tales of woe and undying devotion to Rama, as well as her threats of suicide if she remains unrescued. Before carrying Sita's message back to Rama, Hanuman is "captured" by demons who set his tail on fire, only to fall victim to their own joke as Hanuman proceeds to use his tail as a torch to set their city afire. Confirming Sita is safe, Hanuman subsequently flies over the ocean to Rama, who swoons at his tale.
