Rare and amazing animation at Lincoln Center
Greg Ford has curated a great collection of Animated Musicals for the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center. One Sita Sings the Blues short will be included in the "Independently Musical" program:

I found Sita sings the Blues while surfing the net. It stirred up many complicated emotions for me, about love, about how being the perfect man in no way stops one from being a jerk, about the lousy deal women get in Indian mythology ( have you checked out Draupadi from the Mahabharatha?), about what it means to be a woman. I thought your work was great in so m any ways I can't really express it adequately. Thank you.
