Nurse Nina
My old cartoonist pal Keith Knight got pneumonia and asked me do do a substitute "K Chronicles" strip for him. Since Keith came to my own rescue 12 years ago, when I lost use of my drawing hand for 6+ months (long, awful story - suffice to say it's much better now) I jumped at the opportunity to repay my karmic debt. Get well soon, Keef!

I hope Keith gets better, too. He's a real nice guy and another well-loved unknown cartoonist.
But I'm actually commenting to ask what happened to xmas resistance. I haven't checked there or here in a while, so I probably missed a post explaining. (I was linking to the xmas resistance in a conversation thread about the "war on xmas"--I instead linked to the xmas resistance blog.)
Oh, gracious! Be still, my beating heart (or at least slow down a bit)! For all that I'm enjoying 'Sita,' for all that I've laughed at 'Fetch' (and shown it to more delighted children and adults than I can count), pondered 'Pandorama,' and generally lapped up the animation.... my soul still pines for 'Nina's Adventures.' This substitute 'K Chronicles' is a remembrance of things past, indeed! Thank you!
I met Keith at APE earlier this year (and Stephen Notley, we sang together), he was very cool and his comics are brilliant. Very neat that you know him, and that you're covering his sick ass for the week. Here's to a speedy recovery, Keef.
i could not agree more with banjopsych... nina's adventures was brilliant- and to see your "retaliation" kinda pulled be back to the top of the cliffs of rio del mar beach where i would catch up on the santa cruz comic news and nina's adventures-
as always, looking forward to your work nina
=v= For those whose intelligently-set browsers and brains can't hack the invasive JavaScript advertising on Salon, allow me to recommend reading Nina's Keef strip at Buzzle.
Also, I didn't know you had a nurse outfit.
